Product Update

We live in a world that is moving at a rapid rate.  We just start to get our head around the new technologies available to us and then something shiny and new shakes things up again.  This is also now evident with the whole 2, 3 and 4G Networks.

In layman terms its all about the SPEED, the newer G (Generation) Networks are faster and more secure.  We live in a fast paced world and its now time again for the the telcos to keep us moving at a even faster rate.

However with all the talk about the 2G Network shutdown in 2017 its leaving not only the average person confused but also large companies that rely heavily on the 2G Network and small business such as ourselves who create products utilising these means.  Even the Telco's are unsure if their clients will be ready for this rollout and shutdown next year as they may need more time to implement new structures for many of their accounts.  They are even discussing the bi pass of 3G and going straight to 4G.

What we do know so far is that in April 2017 Optus has notified us that the 2G Network will cease (at this point) and hence why our Sim Plan is now 12 months. In April the Timely Guardian Watch will automatically stay with the 3 and 4G Network for Voice and will still operate as a phone for you to stay connected with your child. However the GPS feature will cease to work as it is only enabled through the 2G Network.

We are currently working on a 3G enabled GPS device and testing on this device will commence soon. We will be watching this space very closely to keep you abreast of any changes to the timeline....
